Merv Jenkins contacted me in March 2013 with details and photos of the Perry and Jenkins families. The Perry / Jenkins family lived in the Rydal/Lithgow area of New South Wales and were very early settlers of that area, buying land at Rydal in 1835 (only 22 years after the area was discovered by European Explorers). Charles (Charley) Perry married Pearl Meurer in 1912 at Lithgow. Two stories written by members of the Perry family, Fred Perry Reminiscences & Maud Perry Reminiscences, are now on the website and are interesting reading, detailing the life and times living in early 1800’s over the mountains, west of Sydney.
